Yoga / Meditation Classes
CLASS STYLE DESCRIPTIONS
Hatha
Available to all levels, Hatha Yoga classes combine physical and philosophical components of yoga, making it a holistic practice that promotes balance and harmony in all aspects of life. The physical postures (asanas) strengthen and open the body, breathing techniques (pranayama) regulate the nervous system, while a strong philosophical component emphasizes the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Through the practice of Hatha Blend Yoga, practitioners can develop a greater sense of self-awareness, inner peace, and mindfulness.
Yin
Yin is a slow-paced and internally-focused style of yoga that is available to all levels. It targets the connective tissues and joints of the body. Holding supported poses for longer periods of time, we increase flexibility, mobility, and circulation. In addition to physical benefits, yin yoga has deep philosophical aspects that cultivate mindfulness, introspection, and self-awareness. By surrendering to the present moment and releasing tension and resistance, we can develop a deeper sense of inner peace, equanimity, and harmony.
Meditation & Pranayama
Meditation and pranayama are ancient practices that offer numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Pranayama has many benefits including regulating the nervous system and improve respiratory function. Meditation cultivates mindfulness, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being. Together, these practices can help reduce anxiety, improve concentration, increase energy levels, and promote relaxation. By incorporating meditation and pranayama into our daily lives, we can create a greater sense of balance, harmony, and inner peace.
